A drama laced with dark humor about a love triangle that develops among three female scientists at the bottom of the world— in a research station at the South Pole—during a six-month winter night. As they study the residual light left behind by the Big Bang, the scientists must find meaning in feelings and prejudices that seem larger than life, even as they begin to realize how tiny they are in the endlessly expanding universe.

Or maybe, in other words, it’s an astrophysics variation of Quint, Hooper, and Brody hunting Jaws.
